Oh, and everyone loves our signature sofa right in the middle of the shop!

Behind the Boutique
Erica Thomas and Miriam Steketee co-owners and head buyers—are both proud natives of the area. Having grown up in Wyckoff and now raising their families in Ridgewood, they’ve always shared a love for travel and boutique shopping around the world. With a combined 40 years of experience in beauty, real estate, and finance, Miriam and Erica combined their passion for fashion and business to create the boutique they always dreamed of. Lulu + Bo was born from their desire to offer women a one-stop shop for versatile, high-quality styles—from casual weekends to elegant evenings.
The vibe at Lulu + Bo is all about warmth and comfort—it’s like hanging out in a friend’s living room, where you can take your time browsing and feel at home.

The Name
Lulu + Bo is named after Miriam and Erica’s parents, Lucy and Boris Kushnir—the names their children lovingly gave them. “Our parents are such an integral part of our story,” says Miriam. “They escaped communism in Russia and came to America to start a new life. They’ve always been entrepreneurs and a huge inspiration to us,” adds Erica. The name feels nostalgic for them, reflecting both the newness of this venture and the challenges that come with chasing a dream. Their parents are also hands-on with the business, always ready to help unbox a shipment or steam a garment—and you may just run into them when you stop by!
We’re so happy you found us, and we can’t wait to share our little corner of the world with you.
